Senior Project Manager – ERP Implementations

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 (+  bonus)
Location: UK – Remote

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior ERP Project Manager to join an established technology consultancy delivering ERP implementation and business transformation projects.

This role will take responsibility for some of the organisation's most complex, high-profile and strategically important customer engagements, leading large-scale ERP implementations and transformation programmes.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience delivering ERP projects within a consultancy or professional services environment, combining strong project delivery expertise with excellent commercial awareness and the ability to manage senior customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of large, complex and multi-workstream ERP implementation projects and programmes.
  • Take ownership of high-profile customer engagements, ensuring successful delivery against agreed scope, timescales, budgets and business objectives.
  • Manage senior customer relationships, including executive stakeholders, programme sponsors and steering groups.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating functional consultants, technical specialists, third-party partners and customer resources.
  • Take responsibility for project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, margins and commercial change control.
  • Identify and proactively manage significant project risks, dependencies, scope changes and commercial challenges.
  • Lead the recovery of projects experiencing delivery difficulties where required.
  • Oversee ERP go-live, transition, business change and user adoption activities.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other Project Managers, supporting improvements in delivery standards and methodologies.
  • Contribute to project proposals, estimates and Statements of Work for complex customer engagements.

Experience Required:

  • Extensive experience delivering ERP implementation projects is essential.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing large, complex or multi-workstream ERP implementations.
  • Ideally, a background working for an ERP consultancy, systems integrator or professional services organisation.
  • Strong commercial project management experience, including ownership of budgets, forecasting, margins and contractual change control.
  • Experience managing high-profile customers and engaging confidently with senior executives and C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience managing project recovery, escalations and challenging customer situations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and mentoring other Project Managers.
  • Experience with Unit4, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite or similar ERP platforms would be advantageous.
  • PRINCE2, MSP, APM, PMP or equivalent qualifications would be beneficial.
