We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large, complex organisation and work closely with senior leaders across Product and Technology.

This is a commercially focused role where you will provide financial insight, challenge and decision support across technology investment, product planning, transformation initiatives, forecasting and performance management.

You will play a key role in helping senior stakeholders understand financial performance, cost drivers, investment benefits, risks and trade-offs, while supporting effective decision-making across a complex matrix organisation.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience working within large organisations of 5,000+ employees. Previous experience within a SaaS, software, digital or technology-led environment would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior Product and Technology leaders, providing commercial financial insight, challenge and practical recommendations.
  • Support product and technology planning, including investment prioritisation, roadmap decisions, resource planning and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Provide financial support across transformation initiatives, including business cases, benefit tracking, cost modelling, scenario analysis and financial governance.
  • Own and improve monthly performance reporting across Product and Technology.
  • Clearly communicate financial performance, risks, opportunities and key cost drivers to senior stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and rolling planning activities, ensuring assumptions are robust, transparent and aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and return on technology and product investment.
  • Provide financial analysis across areas including development spend, cloud and infrastructure costs, technology suppliers and transformation programmes.
  • Review and constructively challenge business cases, investment proposals and spend requests.
  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable commercial insight for senior non-finance stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement across finance business partnering, reporting, forecasting and planning processes.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Product, Technology and Transformation teams.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Strong commercial finance and Finance Business Partnering experience.
  • Previous experience working within a large, complex organisation, ideally with 5,000+ employees.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial modelling.
  • Proven experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working within a complex or matrix-managed organisation.
  • Strong experience supporting Product, Technology or other technology-led business functions.
  • Experience supporting transformation initiatives, investment appraisal, business cases, cost programmes or operating model change.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance financial control, strategic investment and long-term value creation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to constructively challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling capability.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate financial and operational information into meaningful commercial insight.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing ambiguity and balancing multiple stakeholders and priorities.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience within a SaaS, software, digital or technology-enabled organisation would be particularly beneficial.
