Responsibilities:
Recording Financial Transactions
- Enter daily financial transactions into accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Track incoming payments (accounts receivable).
- Prepare and send invoices to clients/customers.
- Monitor overdue invoices and follow up on collections.
- Record and schedule outgoing payments (accounts payable).
- Reconcile vendor statements.
Bank and Credit Card Reconciliation
- Match transactions in accounting records with bank statements.
- Investigate discrepancies or missing entries.
Compliance and Record-Keeping
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Maintain proper records for audits or financial reviews.
- Safeguard financial documents and back up data.
General Administrative Support
- Sometimes includes clerical or office management duties, especially in very small businesses.
Qualifications:
- AAT Qualified (not essential, but would be nice)
- Institute of Certified Bookkeepers accredited
