Power BI Developer
Permanent
Location: Home / Rugby (2 – 3 days a week onsite)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (+ benefits)
We are looking to recruit a Power BI Developer for a leading data & analytics consultancy. This is an excellent opportunity for a Power BI professional with a genuine interest and passion for data looking to take the next step in their career.
This organisation partners with well-known brands to transform how they operate through modern data and visual analytics solutions. With a strong reputation for innovation and digital storytelling, they design and deliver high-impact dashboards and data platforms that genuinely influence business decisions.
This is a hybrid role that requires 2 / 3 days a week onsite work in Rugby.
The Role
This is an opportunity to get involved in client-facing analytics projects from day one.
You will work directly with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into well-designed, scalable Power BI solutions. This role would suit someone with 1 -2 years’ + commercial Power BI experience who is confident building dashboards independently and is ready to take ownership of delivery.
You will:
- Design and build engaging Power BI dashboards and reports

- Develop robust data models and ensure best practice BI architecture
- Write and optimise SQL queries to support reporting solutions
- Contribute to Azure-based data environments (desirable)
- Perform QA on your own work and support wider team standards
- Produce clear technical documentation
- Work within Agile / Kanban delivery frameworks
You will collaborate with data engineers and software developers, contributing ideas around product improvement, usability, and emerging technologies.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has 2–3 years of hands-on Power BI experience in a commercial environment
- Can confidently build dashboards end-to-end, not just maintain existing ones
- Has solid SQL skills and understands data modelling principles
- Has exposure to Azure data services (highly desirable)
- Understands BI best practices and performance optimisation
- Is comfortable working with large datasets and relational databases
- Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Python, R, JavaScript or VBA knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
