Senior Knowledge & Information Management Consultant

Location: Home Based – with travel to client sites
Salary: £95,000 - £110,000 (+ benefits)

We are looking to recruit a Senior Knowledge & Information Management Consultant for a leading IT & Data Consultancy. You will lead complex, mission-critical programmes. You will shape strategy, governance, and delivery, partner with senior stakeholders, and lead teams to deliver measurable improvements in knowledge reuse, compliance, risk reduction, and findability.
This role will often involve work with intelligence agencies, so experience in intelligence analysis is highly valuable.
This is a hybrid role and although primarily home based you will be required to work on customer site when required
What you’ll do
- Lead end-to-end KIM engagements from discovery to implementation, ensuring quality, scope, timelines, and benefits are realised.
- Advise senior stakeholders on KIM strategy, operating models, policies, and controls.
- Define target states for information architecture, content lifecycle, records management, search, and knowledge capture & reuse.
- Translate strategy into executable roadmaps with clear benefits and sequencing.
- Design and implement governance and change/adoption plans, including training, communications, and champions.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams, provide coaching, and ensure delivery quality.
- Shape consulting approaches, contribute to bids, and develop reusable KIM assets and playbooks.
- Represent the consultancy at forums, sharing thought leadership and best practice.
What you’ll bring
- Proven leadership of Knowledge & Information Management programmes in large or regulated organisations.
- Expertise in information architecture, records management, knowledge lifecycle, search, and discovery.
- Consulting experience: problem framing, business case development, stakeholder engagement, executive communication, and facilitation.
- Experience leading teams in line or matrix structures.
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Purview), OpenText, Content Manager (TRIM), Documentum, Confluence, Elastic, or Azure Cognitive Search.
- Change and adoption experience, including measurement of behavioural impact.
- Security-aware delivery in regulated or classified environments.
- Active SC clearance and ability to travel to UK client sites.
