We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared AWS Data Engineer for a global software and solutions organisation. The Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining robust data pipelines, transforming data from various sources into high-quality data products that power our organization’s analytics platform.

This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work on customer site in Bristol 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable data pipelines to process and transform raw data into structured data products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions that align with business needs.
  • Ensure data pipelines are optimized for performance and reliability.
  • Work with Python and SQL to clean, process, and analyze data, enabling the delivery of meaningful insights.
  • Integrate data sources into cloud platforms, leveraging AWS tools and services to enhance data capabilities.
  • Support and enhance the organization’s analytics platform, ensuring it remains robust and scalable.

You are a highly skilled Data Engineer with a passion for data transformation and analytics. You have a strong technical foundation and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and transformation.
  • Experience designing and building scalable data pipelines.
  • Expertise in AWS, with experience in services such as S3, Redshift, Lambda, or similar.
  • A solid understanding of database technologies and data architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with analytics platforms or business intelligence tools.
  • Familiarity with additional programming languages or data processing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
