Group Finance Manager – External Audit
3 Month Contract
Rate: £500 - £600 per day (INSIDE IR35)
Remote – UK Based

We are recruiting for an experienced Group Finance Manager to support a large international software business on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a key year-end role, taking ownership of the Group external audit and statutory reporting process through to submission of the financial accounts at the end of January.

The organisation has a turnover of approximately £500m, with entities across the UK, North America and APAC, so the successful candidate will need strong experience consolidating statutory accounts across a complex international group.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the year-end financial accounts project through to completion and submission
• Lead and coordinate the Group external audit process
• Consolidate statutory accounts across UK, North American and APAC entities
• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for external auditors and internal stakeholders
• Prepare and review consolidated Group and UK subsidiary statutory accounts
• Support year-end adjustments, disclosures and audit deliverables
• Prepare technical accounting and audit papers, including:
  • IFRS 15 / revenue recognition
  • Impairment reviews
  • Going concern assessments
• Coordinate input from finance, tax and overseas subsidiary teams
• Work closely with the wider Group Finance team to resolve audit queries and ensure deadlines are met
• Take a hands-on approach where required, combining project ownership with detailed accounting work

Essential Experience

• Fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA or equivalent
• Strong experience leading or project managing Group external audits
• Experience preparing and consolidating statutory accounts for an international group
• Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS
• Good working knowledge of IFRS 15 and complex revenue recognition
• Experience working within a software, SaaS or similarly contract-driven business
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including working directly with external auditors
• Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a busy year-end environment

This is a senior, delivery-focused contract requiring someone who can quickly take ownership of the audit and year-end reporting process and work effectively across a complex international structure.
