Azure Platform Engineer
6 Month Contract
Location: London / Home (2 days a week onsite)
Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)

We are looking to recruit an SC Cleared Azure Platform Engineer for a leading IT consultancy. This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work on site in Central London 2 days per week.

The Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and supporting a critical Azure Core Platform and live Azure applications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across both DevOps engineering and Azure/.NET web application development in a dynamic enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the Azure Core Platform, ensuring high levels of reliability, performance, and security.
• Support and enhance live Azure applications, including infrastructure activities.
• Ensure environment readiness for all programme phases: development, testing, training, cutover, go-live, and Hypercare support.
• Apply DevOps best practices, enabling automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

Skills & Experience

• Deep knowledge of Azure computing, storage, monitoring, logging, auditing, and security services.
• Certified or demonstrable experience with Azure cloud platforms in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and configuration management.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git preferred).
• Experience of Windows and Linux administration.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
• (Desirable) Experience managing Kubernetes environments and containerised solutions (Azure Kubernetes Service).
