Part A – JOB DESCRIPTION Overall purpose of role To engage and manage Digital Policing suppliers, partners, and internal services to
provide central digital supplier and contract management for the organisation. Monitoring Supplier spend against budget to obtain best value. Undertake digital asset management functions to support the effective use of assets throughout the organisation.

1. 3. Provide professional advice on technical contract matters to internal stakeholders and customers to ensure that the organisations digital contracts are managed efficiently and effectively within budget and that actions comply with legislative and policy requirements. Including Data and IT Security standards and requirements. Identification of supply risks and ensuring they are documented and discussed.
4. Liaise with business teams and leads to understand and translate business requirements into commercial contract requirements prior to negotiation to optimise contractual design.
5. Establish and develop digital supplier relationships to improve and maintain existing performance and to encourage innovation and partnership working to maximise contract value. Co-ordinate between different stakeholders proving clear communication to both suppliers, partners and Internal teams arranging and chairing supplier/contract renew meetings.
6. Monitor and assess contract Key Performance Indicators to ensure effective performance of the contract. Ensuring all contract data is accurately recorded and maintained.
7. Take part in asset acquisition, deployment and disposal and asset performance reporting which support effective delivery and achieve the agreed objectives and performance targets and identify opportunities for asset rationalisation
8. Be responsible for the accurate and timely responses to Directorate Freedom of Information requests to ensure compliance with the Freedom of Information Act.
9. Be responsible of critically analysing digital supplier invoices, billing, end user usage, cost predictions and contract administration to maximise efficiency and savings. Be responsible for gathering data and formulating accurate annual budget forecasts for managed contracts.
10.Be responsible for identifying and undertaking partner recharging for digital hardware, software and services provided by Digital Policing.
11.Undertake procurement activities of under £50,000 following standard policies and procedures.
12.Use problem solving techniques when dealing with supplier or budget issues. To ensure the best outcomes for the organisation are achieved.

External: WYCA, HMIC, Manufacturers, Contractors and Suppliers of Digital Policing services and equipment. Other Forces for benchmarking and comparative studies of Digital Policing Functions. National bodies for relevant meetings and user groups.
Expertise in Role Required (At selection - Level 1) Essential or Desirable
CIPS all relevant contract management qualification or proven relevant and practical experience.
Demonstratable experience of managing contracts of sufficient complexity and value.
Experience of using KPI's to drive improved supplier performance.
Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
Demonstratable experience of problem solving.
Ability and experience of asset management
Experience in analytical and budget management skills.
