The Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Technical Product Manager for a leading technology consultancy operating in the public sector technology space who require a Technical Product Manager to join the business at a key point of transition and growth. This role sits at the intersection of product, technology, and delivery, and will suit someone who is highly structured, technically credible, and comfortable operating in a change environment following acquisition or organisational transformation.

The Role

As Technical Product Manager, you will take ownership of translating high-level product direction into clear, actionable work for engineering teams. You will play a critical role in improving ways of working, re-establishing momentum within the development function, and supporting teams as they align to the organisation’s preferred product and delivery practices.

You will work closely with development teams, stakeholders, and existing product staff to ensure clarity, consistency, and delivery focus, while maintaining a pragmatic, supportive approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Break down product epics into well-defined, prioritised user stories
• Write clear, testable acceptance criteria, ideally using BDD / Gherkin syntax
• Act as a credible day-to-day partner to development teams, providing clarity and direction
• Support and re-energise teams that may be demotivated following organisational change
• Provide short-term guidance and hands-on support to existing team members who are not yet working in the organisation’s preferred product model
• Bring structure, consistency, and transparency to backlog management and delivery processes
• Balance short-term delivery needs with longer-term product outcomes

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong experience working in SaaS environments
• Highly numerate, with exposure to financial concepts or finance-related domains (any finance background considered)
• Proven ability to translate complex requirements into clear, concise user stories
• Experience writing acceptance criteria, preferably in BDD (Gherkin) format
• Confident and credible working closely with software engineers and technical stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a calm and pragmatic leadership style
• Comfortable operating in environments undergoing change, integration, or post-acquisition transition

You will see 2 BA roles on Workable. Both are paying the same salary (£55k) and remote first roles.

The NLEDS one is slightly more technical, linking in with developers, architects and tech teams of the customer and Civica (tech background would be ideal but not a pre-requisite). Candidate will likely have 5+ years experience and mid-high SFIA 3.

The MoD role is the same level (mid-high SFIA 3) and is more of a customer facing, requirements gathering role (talking to users / tech teams and gathering information). Experience with data would be really useful and experience within MoD will be key with this one.

I have a catch up with the HM on Monday lunchtime and then she is away for a couple of days onsite.

Our aim is to get CVs reviewed asap, interviews arranged back end of next week or w/c 19^th Jan and will likely only be 1 stage of 90 minutes.

Director of Product Strategy & Portfolio

Rate: £900 - £1000 per day (Inside IR35)

We are looking to recruit a Director of Product Strategy & Portfolio for a leading software company on an initial 6 month contract. This is a senior strategic role responsible for defining enterprise-wide product vision, aligning product portfolios, and ensuring investment decisions deliver measurable customer and commercial outcomes.

Working closely with Product Directors, Engineering, and Go-To-Market leadership, you’ll build the strategic frameworks that guide how products evolve, innovate, and succeed across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate long-term product vision and enterprise product strategy
• Establish a unified strategic framework that aligns product direction across portfolios
• Lead strategic roadmap planning and guide prioritisation with Product Directors
• Drive market, customer, and competitive analysis to inform investment decisions
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on product positioning and long-term planning
• Build strong relationships across product, engineering, and commercial teams
• Develop business cases for major initiatives, including ROI modelling and market sizing
• Lead portfolio governance, prioritisation, and lifecycle management
• Champion data-driven decision-making and customer-centric product strategy
• Provide leadership, development, and direction to senior product managers and directors

Essential Experience

• Deep expertise in product strategy, product portfolio management, and market analysis
• Strong financial and commercial literacy, including P&L and ROI modelling
• Proven ability to create clarity across complex, multi-product environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Experience operating in enterprise software, public sector, or multi-market technology environments

Desirable

• Experience shaping strategy across multiple product lines
• Background in modern product management and agile delivery principles
• Knowledge of public sector technology, policy trends, or international markets

• Reports in to Ben Snusher - lead BA, been with BI 20+ years
• Junior BA role
• Working in a more Agile way - they are moving away from Waterfall

• Product Owners in India - this role seen more as a Product Manager position focused on strategy and execution, not a Product Owner role. Product Owners based in India and the US handle requirements and backlog management – your focus will be high-level product direction, prioritisation and stakeholder leadership.
