QA / Test Automation Engineer role supporting a secure Dstl programme through a leading technology consultancy
It looks like a hands-on testing role rather than a pure Test Manager position, but there is ownership to it. They want someone who can take responsibility for the test approach around software maintenance releases
From what I’ve seen, the work is likely to involve designing and maintaining automated regression suites, functional and non-functional testing, defect reproduction and tracking, test reporting, documentation review and helping build release confidence for customer acceptance
Have you worked in V&V, SQA, defence, aerospace, simulation, scientific or mission-system environments
12-month remote Product Manager contract with Civica, focused on managing legacy / end-of-life healthcare products. The role requires a product professional who can work closely with engineering, commercial, customer success and senior stakeholders to manage product lifecycle, roadmaps, risks, dependencies and customer impact.
Strong stakeholder management and delivery discipline are key, alongside experience in regulated, enterprise, public sector, healthcare or mission-critical software environments. The successful candidate will need to bring structure, clarity and ownership to complex products, balancing customer needs, business priorities and technical constraints while supporting long-term product direction.
It’s not necessarily about launching brand-new products; it’s more about owning the lifecycle of existing products, understanding customer usage, working with engineering on technical constraints, managing risk, and helping the business decide what should be maintained, modernised, migrated or retired.
The key thing is stakeholder management. They need someone who can deal with engineering, commercial teams, customer success, senior stakeholders and customers, and bring structure around roadmaps, priorities, dependencies and product decisions. Healthcare/public sector or regulated software experience would be useful because these products are likely mission-critical and difficult to switch off quickly.
