Stuart Kell – Risk Team Leader
Stuarts team monitors regulatory compliance concerning complaints from the Debtors. They are regulated by the FCA and the SRA. (Financial Conduct Authority and Solicitors Regulatory Authority).
2 reports, this role and the Compliance Officer.
Overall Debt Recovery Team is approx. 30, (Client Services Team, Litigation Team, Admin team, Defending team, systems team and pre-litigation team.
They are dealing with over 1m debtors.
Reason for role: Current Complaints Handler is going back to university and leaves11.09.2025.
The role
£24,225 + Emp. Bens.
5 days per week on site – poss. Will go to one day WFH after the probation period.
- Responsible for Complaint handling (approx. 40 per month) These are the most time consuming.
- EOD’s (Expression of Dissatisfaction) about 180 per month (a lot of these have templated responses). EOD’s have a three-day turnround.
- Data Subject Access Requests (30 per month)
Fast paced role but quite a relaxed environment.
Complaints can be from fuel drive offs, mortgage shortfalls etc. Sometimes the individual is complaining about the tone of their letter, (but they have t state the process), or that the cashier at the fuel station should have asked them if they had fuel, because they forgot that they had. Most of these responses have a standard template.
They use inhouse CRM system “Easy Collect”

Person Profile:
1 to 2 years’ experience in customer service
String written skills – ideally can evidence this
Ideally previous FCA or SRA experience or experience with any other regulatory body
Ideally immediately available but can wait up to 4 weeks’ notice for the right candidate.
