Role details
Job title: Systems Accountant
Main purpose of job:
Responsible for the Finance function and internal ERP system and all
aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting,
forecasting and compliance with regulatory requirements
Responsible to: Chief Financial Officer
Responsible for: To be confirmed
Liaison with:
Embridge Board, Senior Management Team, internal staff members and
associates across all departments, client contacts, suppliers, and partners of
the business
Location Kent office-based role
1. Key Responsibilities
Item Description
1. System Administration responsibility for internal Unit4 ERPx software including leading
systems improvements and data quality initiatives in alignment with business needs.
2. Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements including variance analysis against
budget.
3. Liaise with external accountants in production of statutory accounts and prepare for the year
end audit.
4. Managing all finance and accounting operations including payroll
5. Conduct thorough financial analysis to support decision making, identify trends and
recommend strategies to improve profitability and efficiency
6. Prepare financial models to project business scenarios and assess profitability
7. Monitor cash flow and working capital, including debtors to optimise financial performance
and mitigate risks and treasury deposits
8. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure
the integrity of financial information
9. Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and a 12 month rolling forecasts
10. Liaise with Sales Operations to ensure the sales pipeline reporting is accurate
11. Any other duties as reasonably required by the CFO

Attributes/Skills/Qualifications/Requirements Essential Desired
Part qualified Accountant working towards full qualification ✔
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems ✔
Strong understanding of financial reporting and controls ✔
At least 5 years’ accounting experience ✔
Confident communicator able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams ✔
Familiarity with Unit4 ERP ✔
Experience working with Power BI, Excel modelling or similar reporting tools. ✔
Prior experience in a consultancy, professional services or project-based business ✔
