ROLE: DESIGN DIRECTOR – EMPLOYEE PROGRAMMES

Objectives of Role:
- To fulfill the role of subject matter expert in Employee Engagement Solutions from a design, structure, best practice, communications, and creative perspective.
- To play a lead role in the pre-sales environment, engaging in both new client sales and existing client sales.
- To work with existing global clients to maximise the effectiveness of their programmes and to enhance the solutions in place. In doing this, to drive up the commercial return from deployed programmes.
Responsibilities:
To include, but not be limited to, the following:
Programme Development:
- Develop a clear understanding of the global recognition programmes in place with the key client group.
- Lead design conversation with core client group for new initiatives in existing programmes.
- Attend QBRs to introduce and discuss new BIW services within Employee Programmes, potentially sharing other client experience and global market research to support importance of proposed improvements & additions.
- Collate Design Code materials, research papers and case studies, and analysis of BIW recognition data and research. Use these materials to lead design meetings and workshops, and to inform proposals to clients.
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Generate best practice, thought leadership and benchmarking information for existing clients and the EMEA Sales & Marketing Team.
- Work with Head of Employee Programmes to create a stream of materials, resources and events promoting BIW’s position as thought leader in our market
- Liaise with US & global peers to leverage existing resources and collaboratively generate new content.
- Liaise with Sales & Marketing Team to understand and fulfil requirements of the EMEA marketing plan in promoting Employee Programmes services.
- Collate a body of collateral to include: white papers, articles, blog content, online and F2F presentations, research & analytics output and findings, slides for sales presentations, and materials for design workshops with new clients
Pre-Sales Support:
- Participate in the sales and design phases of new clients to ensure best practice programme design for each prospective and new client.
- Support the Head of Employee Programmes and Business Development Directors in client sales presentations.
- Support the Head of Employee Programmes in programme design workstream during new client implementations.
- Take briefs from clients during design conversations and actively lead the design conversation within new client implementations.
- Collaborate with Account Team, Solution Architect, Head of Employee Programmes, Client Operations Director to determine best client solutions.
- Liaise with US & global peers to establish best practice and previous client solutions to similar briefs.
- Remain available as solution expert throughout implementation to ensure efficacy of deliverables.
- Contribute fully to internal briefing calls and design discussions.
- Work with internal departments to produce accurate cost estimates and contribute to costings and pricing discussions.
- Produce formal documentation to support the sales and implementation processes, including: client proposal response documents; client proposal documents; and internal briefing documents.
Existing Clients:
- Work with account teams to create client proposals for all ad hoc, tactical or upgraded promotions in consultation with SA, BSA and other internal resources, minimising the need for customisation wherever possible
- Maximise client usage of key complementary services such as Service Recognition.
- Promote key services to existing clients, sharing exactly how they would deploy in the context of their existing programme.
- Create proposals for onboarding new features that will drive up engagement and activity levels.
- Remain an active participant or driver of the pre-sales process to lead the client to acceptance before handing over to account and implementation team.
- Work with sales & marketing team to create and leverage shared materials resources (for efficiency & consistency).
- Promote uplift of issuance and redemption in existing programmes.
- Work with account teams and Communications Manager to create shared and client specific plans for continuously improving issuance and redemption activity levels.

Person Specification:
The experience, skills, and personal attributes required of the job holder include, but are not limited to:
- Experience of Employee Engagement programmes and supporting technical solutions.
- Experience of design and/or operation of Employee Engagement solutions for international organisations or clients
- Enjoys client facing meetings, presentations and interactions, and comfortable working with clients in both sales and after-sales scenarios.
- Ability to interpret client needs and translate into platform capabilities & features
- Experience of working with clients, operations teams and technical teams to participate in the support of delivering projects/programmes for clients
- Passion for quality and detail.
- Has focus on developing the skills and knowledge of others.
- Enjoys problem solving.
- Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
