Summary
Weller Packaging, established over 40 years ago, has grown to be one of the UK’s largest distributors of flexible packaging (A BRC certified company) for the wholesale and packaging merchant market. We are looking to recruit a sales manager to be part of our senior management team accountable for the day-to-day management of sales & marketing function, developing and implementing our sales and marketing strategy, customer success initiatives and driving performance of our sales team.

Key Responsibilities:
- To offer long term support and management, to an established team, within a very stable and successful company.
- Leading the sales team to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Line Management of Sales Account Manager and the Sales Administration teams.
- Development and implementation of Sales & marketing strategy, including pricing.
- Identification of growth and cost improvement opportunities
- Conducting regular market research, to stay up to date with industry trends and changes and recommending new stock lines.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure customer success.
- Working with team members to improve performance and productivity.
- Support Pricelist updates and distribution.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders (Internal & external)
- Preparing and presenting reports to senior management
Skills Required:
- Significant experience leading Sales teams
- Significant experience in product sales (not service), ideally selling products within the Trade.
- Significant experience handling commercial negotiations with clients.
- Experience within a private sector company
- Experience with product price list management
- Experience driving Marketing activity campaigns to generate qualified leads would be useful.
- Innovative thinker and problem solver who is focussed on finding solutions.
- Well organised, self-motivated, and able to manage business priorities independently.
- Excellent communicator and influencer at all levels
- Sense of humour vital
- Hard working and loyal
