TEAM PURPOSE: Cyber Security Team, (still quite new after they have broken away from the Infrastructure team and are now a team in their own right. Previously the Cyber Security function was covered by the Infrastructure team.

TEAM STRUCTURE:

Report to Simon:

2 x Cyber Engineers – Grade 7 (new roles)

2 x Senior Cyber Analyst – Grade 8

1 x Cyber Analyst – Grade 9 (lowest)

ROLE LOCATION: Brighton 6 days per month (Every Monday in the office and every 2^nd and 4^th Thursday) for team meetings. 30/40 miles of Brighton can work.

ROLE SALARY: £55,504 – 62,671 + on-call + Pension etc.

The salary stated is the bottom to the mid-range, can offer anywhere on this scale.

Flexi time – up to 2 days per month can be takes as flexi time holiday if you accrue hours. Which means an extra 24 days holiday per year potentially!

On-call means going onto the rota – you get £150 – 200 per week for being on the rota. There are very few calls if any each week if you are on the rota, (24 hours). If you are on the rota and a call comes in – the call is redirected to you. In the event that you take a call then you can build your flexi-time as well.

HOURS: 37 + flexi time arrangement.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Create and document Cyber security architecture (inline with technology roadmap)

Reporting on cyber security issues

Assist with cyber security planning – collaboratively at team meetings

Provide guidance on Cyber security on escalated tickets, (tickets are escalated to the Cyber security team if relevant)Support Cyber governance

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Hands on individual, a do-er !!
Solid career, (6+ years) in infrastructure, (perhaps network or systems engineer) and then gone into cyber security last 2/3 years.
Strong Vulnerability Management tools experience, Cyber security skills essentials Azure Security Centre, Defender and Sentinel

As much of the following as possible:

Broad infrastructure background across PaaS and IaaS and Virtual machine tech, Azure networking, SQL services, Azure AD etc.
Windows Endpoints and servers, Cisco firewalls etc. Network architecture.
Cyber certifications great but not essential
Power BI or similar for reporting – great but not essential.

TEAM CULTURE: Great team, supportive. Meetings Monday and Thursdays to build team knowledge and encourage ideas. Also, team learning events, ie they are all attending a major cyber security event in London in a few weeks to attend conferences and meet vendors.

Role
Part of our Digital, Data, and Technology (DDAT) strategy is to create the building blocks for our digital service. These are reusable, scalable components that will transform our digital service and products. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Manager to lead our Common Component Product initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, delivery-focused, and possess exceptional stakeholder management skills. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution to drive product success. · Develop roadmap for digital common components. · Coordinate with other product managers in the team to ensure we have a joined-up roadmap which delivers organisational priorities. · Identify areas to pilot and map out what is needed (team, dependencies, etc.). · Define use cases and work with the business areas to understand outcomes and needs. · Define user research plan working with the UCD team. · Work with the UCD team to develop the service blueprint for digital/common components.
Responsibilities
Roadmap Development: · Develop roadmap for "Obtain Data" as a common component. · Map out timings for Future Scheme Service recommendations and for Value for Money with the product team. · Map out roadmap, considering existing team deliveries and the data roadmap. · Develop roadmap for digital common components. · Coordinate with other product managers in the team to ensure we have a joined-up roadmap which delivers organisational priorities. Pilot and Use Case Development: · Identify areas to pilot and map out what is needed (team, dependencies, etc.). · Assess how we define the use cases quickly. · Define use cases and work with the business areas to understand outcomes and needs. Role
Who we are The Pensions Regulator’s Data Services Team is growing in size and capability. It includes several teams comprising over 27 data specialists, in domains across the full spectrum of data management activity. The Team has accountability for the data estate and is responsible for defining, developing and implementing the organisation’s approach to data acquisition, data management, analysis, and governance of data and information assets. The Team also holds the vision for driving TPR towards becoming more data informed, by facilitating effective use and innovative exploitation of high-quality data and promoting data as a strategic business asset. We're data-informed, not data-driven: we work with engineers, product managers, and other disciplines to understand how data can best support the needs of the organisation.
