1. Key Accountabilities

• Submission of STGO Category 3 route notifications.
• Ensure Heavy Haulage Transport solutions are planned efficiently within a projects scope of work.
• Planning and execution of Heavy Haulage transport for rail-based customers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all Heavy Haulage and Escort drivers, providing support and resolving any challenges encountered during operations.

1. Key Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Transport Planner to plan a cost-effective Heavy Haulage Transport Fleet.
• Prepare & Submit STGO Category 3 route notifications, monitor responses and engage with local authorities and structural owners to identify a safe and cost-effective route.
• Direct liaison with Police forces to ensure abnormal loads escorts are planned in the most cost-effective manner.
• Support communication between multiple business department to enhance complex Heavy Haulage vehicle movements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Company’s existing rail customers to ensure the effective planning and execution of all rail movements.
• Liaise with customers to reschedule work to ensure the fleet is operating at capacity.
• To brief drivers in an accurate manner ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of the requirements for their planned work.
• Co-Ordinate with vehicle workshops to ensure all trucks and trailers are made available for routine maintenance.
• Provide out of hours support to the Heavy Haulage drivers & Escort drivers for live projects on a rota’d basis
• Management of driver holidays to ensure continuity of the driver fleet
• Respond quickly to customers emails and phone calls.
• Ensure drivers and second men are available for scheduled for training sessions
• To ensure all jobs are accurately entered into the Transport Management System
• Support the Health & Safety of colleagues across the business
• Be flexible to cover other job roles in the department during periods of annual leave
• Provide regular feedback to operational managers to support enhancements of process, procedure or performance across the department.

CAD Operator – Swept Paths

Role Overview

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented CAD Operator, with experience of swept path analysis software to support our consultancy work. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating swept paths for some of the largest vehicles that can travel on our road network. This role is integral in successfully securing new business as we demonstrate what is possible in the movement of abnormal loads.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilise swept path analysis software to generate vehicle swept paths to demonstrate route negotiability of the Public Highway.
• Identify any Public Road Improvements (PRI) and Street Furniture removal to permit the transporation.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure drawings meet requirements.
• Work on FEED Studies to assess potential routes to validate transport feasibility.
• Assist in route surveys to see first hand the obstacles to overcome.
• Ensure drawings are completed accurately and efficiently project deadlines.
• Support the team with additional CAD work as required.

Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (Light version preferred).
• Familiarity with swept path analysis and route planning for vehicles.

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented CAD Operator to assist in producing accurate transport arrangement drawings. This role is integral to the planning process, ensuring that loads are properly configured on trailers for safe and efficient transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating CAD drawings that form the basis of what we do as a business, moving abnormal loads.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce 2D AutoCAD drawings illustrating load arrangements on trailers.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure drawings meet requirements.
• Use specialised software to calculate axle loadings.
• Assist in structural detailing related to transport arrangements.
• Ensure drawings are completed accurately and efficiently to support the permit application process, which can take up to 12 weeks.
• Support the team with additional CAD work as required.

• Implement best practices for project planning, resources and scheduling within the business.
• Work closely with Head of Project Delivery and Engineering Director, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project tracking.
