Role:                   Lead Data Scientist
Location:          Hybrid (Brighton (2 days per week) and home)

Salary:               £75 - 95K + exceptional Employee Benefits and agile working

Key Skills:        Python and R, (with expertise in one or the other), Data Science Team Lead experience.

Summary:  Our client is a high-profile organisation with a large IT function responsible for delivering consistently accurate, efficient, and quality based data services.  This role joins a small DS team, with responsibility for mentoring and leading the team, peer reviews, strategizing and driving the proactive use of Data Science across the organisation.

The role:

Lead the team of Data Scientists, combining advanced analytical capability with IT/software skills, maths and statistics knowledge, to drive and develop business operations on a data led trajectory.  You will have the chance to lead and craft the data science vision. You’ll drive innovation and discover opportunities to continuously improve business adoption of data science supported products, in line with developments in the field.

You need to be able to demonstrate:

• Degree in Data Science, Masters or PhD essential.
• Ability to work 1 or 2 days per week in Brighton every week.
• 3+ years’ Data Science experience background which has included some element of leading / mentoring other Data Scientists
• Expertise in either Python or R, but you will need to have an appreciation of both.
• Azure highly desirable including AzureAI studio, Azure Open studio, ML studio etc.
• Strong communications and collaboration skills
