Describe the role / what they will do? -
Use Lean Agile to build new teams out. Work with Data engineers on Data platform on Azure. Recently launched DDAT and data strategies. Following international equivalents of TPR like Australia's version. Creating internal and external-facing data market places. Really good bunch of guys in the team. Know their onions but have a laugh etc. Want a self-starter. Will onboard and then want to be self-motivated to pick up tasks. Work on OKRs - a better version of KPIs - great to find people with exp of OKR frameworks. Data product experience helpful. Team size / Structure -
No managing - work with data engineering team to begin with but this team likely to split to 2 as so much work. Will work with both teams.


Onsite requirements - 6 days per month in Brighton

Essential skills / experience -
Agile and ideally data product experience. Senior. Confident presenter. Power point skills useful.


Any nice to haves? - Technical experience or certifications?
Data Product experience would be very much preferred. Agile or scrum great but less Matt not too fussed on certs. Want the demonstrable exp.


Level in career? -
Want lots of experience, senior person.

BPSS eligible

How long recruiting / challenges? -
New role

• Andy is retiring – Product Owner

• TPR does 2 scheme returns. Gather from schemes and analysing to make sure they pay out

• Liase with different depts in DDaT – being the middle person for resources on scheme returns

• Implement new data and new questions – what needs to be include twice a year

• Defeined benefit in Feb, most are DC pensions in the summer

• Batch pulling of data is a bit hold school. Regulator wants to gather on keys things rather than data churn

• Defines what delivery team until releases

• Existing service built around legislation

• In line with contractor role – shift and transform

• Trying to move towards and over arching strategy – change customer and user perspectice. Put more through the scheme return.

• Pensions acumnen – mini CEO & CIO

• Bring in product knowledge – a lot of SME knowledge to build stakeholder network. Build knowledge of the industry

• Experience of managing and guiding would be great – that would be helpful

• It’s an aspiration to manage others

• Digital products – appreciate of how data is pulled in a modern way. Knowledge of API’s

• Front end, back end, server side, API’s, understand integrations

• More customer facing services and applications that link in to it

• Need to have data and technical conversation

• Someone in the ordenance survery – how you bring data in and manipulate it – that would work. Not finance or pensions
